Our World
In order to fulfill our corporate social responsibility, we will work together with the business in the entire company and in each department to contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals.
Commitment to Safety and Quality Improvement
JTB Trading follows legal regulations and implements stringent quality control measures to ensure the procurement of safe and reliable products.
- We are committed to offering products and services that customers can rely on, emphasizing quality and safety in all our procurement operations.
- We respond promptly and appropriately to feedback received concerning our products and services. All feedback is shared internally and utilized to enhance customer service, prevent the recurrence of issues, and develop new products and services.
Information Security Initiatives
To protect our critical information assets, we have established an IT Security Policy that guides our company-wide efforts in information management and operations.
We also comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and adhere to our internal privacy policy to ensure appropriate handling of personal data.
- All employees adhere to internal regulations to prevent the leakage of personal or confidential information and to avoid damage caused by viruses and other unauthorized programs.
- In the event of an incident involving the leakage of personal data, we will promptly notify the relevant authorities and affected individuals in accordance with applicable laws.
Confidential and personal information obtained through business transactions is properly managed and protected.
We also require our business partners to observe strict confidentiality and privacy standards, especially when outsourcing important operations. Their security systems are reviewed before contracts are signed.
Regular e-learning sessions are conducted to raise awareness of privacy and information security among employees.
New employees, including mid-career hires, receive training as part of their onboarding process to ensure early understanding of privacy protection and security best practices.
Compliance Initiatives
We will not only strive to comply with laws, regulations, and internal rules, but also promote fair corporate activities with a strong ethical foundation.
The following items are our priorities in fulfilling our social responsibility.
- We act with integrity and adhere to principles of information ethics.
- By encouraging each employee to take responsibility according to these ethical standards, we aim to enhance the information security of our entire company.
- We do not engage in defamation or slander.
- We respect the privacy of others.
- We understand and comply with copyright laws, taking precautions to prevent infringement.
We ensure that all advertising and promotional materials comply with the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations.
- This law prohibits practices such as misrepresenting raw materials or exaggerating benefits to mislead consumers.
- We do not disseminate misleading information that may potentially deceive consumers, such as the mislabeling of meat brands or the promotion of unsubstantiated benefits associated with health supplements.
We place great importance on measures to prevent harassment.
- In alignment with our compliance efforts, we implement measures against workplace harassment, including sexual harassment and power harassment.
- We are dedicated to implementing measures that prevent incidents of sexual harassment, as well as harassment related to pregnancy and childcare. We provide appropriate support for victims and proactively pursue initiatives to prevent recurrence.
Risk Management and Incident Response Initiatives
Based on the PDCA cycle, we conduct an annual review to identify, reassess, and update potential risks.
Risks identified through assessments are grouped by category and addressed accordingly, classified as either stemming from external changes or related to internal operations and business foundations.
- Risks related to issues like quality and safety management, stemming from evolving consumer values, the departure of skilled employees due to organizational culture, and challenges in recruiting and retaining them, along with cybersecurity threats such as virus infections and unauthorized access, can also affect other risk areas.
To foster trust with all stakeholders, we provide quarterly reports of risk events to the Internal Control Committee and actively encourage effective risk management practices. - Recognizing not only threats but also opportunities, we have established appropriate frameworks beyond our CSR department to ensure an agile and proactive risk response.
- To prepare for major disasters or disruptions to communication infrastructure that could hinder business continuity, we have developed a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) with clearly defined recovery time objectives.
- We conduct regular training and awareness programs to ensure an appropriate response in accordance with the BCP in the event of a disaster. We also periodically revise the BCP based on the knowledge gained from these exercises.
Basic Principles of BCP Formulation
- We prioritize human life, placing utmost importance on ensuring the safety of our employees and their families. As we carry out our business activities, we stay vigilant about employee safety and strive to prevent secondary disasters.
- We strive to protect company assets such as financial resources, IT systems, and facilities from damage.
- We strive to minimize the impact on all stakeholders—including customers, business partners, shareholders, employees, and society as a whole—and protect our corporate value.
